Live Feed - Tuesday, July 10, 3 pm

  • They’re all sitting around the kitchen.  Andrea says that she wants to rethink yesterday’s answer to say that her favorite thing about the house is the food.  Stephanie likes the food Ori sends in the drawers, but not processed stuff.
  • Ori plays peppy music to call them to the living room.  This is way better than the chimes!  Why is Holly waring a bikini again?  Anyway, they’re all dancing.
  • Ori tells them that we divided them into four teams.  She bets they can’t guess the teams.  They bet they can:
    • Andrea/Jeffrey
    • Gene/Joy
    • Stephanie/Mike
    • Holly/Erica
    • “Our viewers like consistency.”
    • They’re doing synchronized swimming routines together?  I refuse to watch this.
  • They separate to practice.  I switch to another browser window.  This may be a short recap.
  • Side note - do they know how small the hot tub is?  Because some of them are dancing all over the place.
  • They’re all putting on goggles and stuff.  Ori says that something is missing.  Gene wants floaties.  We get to vote on floaties, swim caps, or both.  As the only person voting, I choose both.  I am not remotely surprised when that wins.
  • Stephanie and Mike choose matching swim caps for their team.  ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz……
  • Ori tells them to remove the top from the “synchronized swimming pool” which is the hot tub.  What makes anyone think this will work?  Someone is going to hurt themselves.
  • Ori does not want to see them get electrocuted, so she reminds them to remove their microphones before diving in.  That was nice of her.
  • I can actually feel my brain cells fleeing from my head as they begin their routines.
  • Holly’s boobs are bigger than her floaties.
  • I thought Andrea was all about modesty?  I can see her breasts.  That halter makes them bigger and emphasizes them, which doesn’t seem very modest.  Shouldn’t she be wearing boyshorts and showing a little less leg?  And where’s her magic underwear?
  • After Joy and Gene do their act, Ori says something like, “Nice job.  You almost got me wet with that one.”  I appreciate the double entendre, especially since we keep flipping to the blue screen that suggests that someone is flashing a bit of nudity.
  • The only interesting moment of the past 42 minutes is when Holly and Erica stage a catfight, in the water, in the middle of their routine.  For that reason, and that reason only, I vote for their routine.
  • There’s actually a prize for the winners?  Shouldn’t she have announced that earlier, since winners have never gotten a prize before?  I think Gene got screwed, since he’s won most of the challenges.  Oh, yeah - Jeffrey and Andrea won.  I guess there are at least two people voting who are not me.
    • They actually get “winner” medals.
    • Andrea gives an obnoxious speech.  Shut up, Andrea.
    • Jeffrey thanks Andrea and the viewers for their win.
    • Mike says that Erica and Holly got robbed.  Yup.
  • Ori tells us that the viewers are voting on what they should do next.  I don’t actually see anything to vote on, so they’re just chatting about nothing important.  Prizes won, science fair awards, things like that.
  • After a few minutes, Ori says that she’s just reading tweets from the viewers and killing time.  I think she told them that she turned off the live feed, even though she didn’t.  Sneaky Ori.
  • I realize that ABC thinks we want more live feeds.  What we really want is more INTERESTING live feeds.  “Interesting” is a key word there. Watching these really gives me a headache.
  • Gene tells Andrea to watch her medal or it might disappear, just like his supervisor hat.
  • Holly, Erica, and Steph get back in the hot tub.  I’m a little jealous.
  • Stephanie asks if they want the Jets, and Erica starts singing the song from West Side Story.  Holly doesn’t get it, so Stephanie repeats it.  That doesn’t help.  Holly may not be a musical fan.
  • Erica asks Gene what he thinks will happen tonight.  Do they know there’s an extra live feed?  Sounds like they do.  Yeah - they heard Ori say, “Tune in tonight from 9-12 for additional live footage.”  They’re discussing whether Ori gave a day.  I know there’s another live feed in five hours.  I’m not sure that’s sufficient time for my brain to recover.
  • It’s hard to hear them over the sound of the jets.  Stephanie’s swimsuit really makes her eyes pop.  It’s a good shade of blue for her.
  • In the kitchen, Gene is getting fresh with Erica.  Jeffrey is worried there’s going to be an instant elimination tonight and wants to talk about it.  These poor people are going to be super stressed out all day!  Ori should have just told them that it’s just a regular live feed.  Anyway, Erica and Gene both think that, if they do an instant elimination, it’ll be something challenge-based…. like, whoever loses is automatically out.
  • Apparently, it’s cooler in the Twitter booth than the rest of the house.  Gene says that, when it’s too hot, he’ll just sit in there and send out like 10 tweets until he feels better.  So, sounds like Holly is running a high fever all the time.  That explains a lot.
  • The camera randomly shows up 30 seconds of Holly fixing her hair in the hot tub.  She wasn’t talking, and they weren’t talking about her.  Weird.
  • They scatter to shower, change, etc., and the feed ends.
